About this role
Lily Hospitals Limited in Delta is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a haemotology specialty. The role involves performing laboratory investigations, collecting and reporting specimens, operating and maintaining equipment, and supporting clinicians with accurate results. The candidate should hold a recognised degree in Medical Laboratory Science and a valid MLSCN licence, with 2–4 years post-NYSC experience, and be willing to work flexible shifts in Delta.
What you would do
- Perform laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Collect, process, analyse, and report laboratory specimens accurately and promptly.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Monitor inventory and request replenishment of reagents and consumables.
- Communicate critical laboratory results promptly to the appropriate healthcare providers.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's Degree (B.MLS/BMLS) in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognised institution.
- Current practising licence issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- 2 to 4 years post-NYSC experience in a reputable hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
- Experience in Haematology, Chemical Pathology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Blood Transfusion, or Molecular Diagnostics is an added advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and reside in or relocate to Delta.
