About this role
Mechanical Technician II based in Akwa Ibom, carrying out maintenance work for oil and gas facilities. The role involves assisting mechanical engineers with planning, testing and execution of maintenance activities and maintaining safety practices; it can be filled by a company employee or a contractor resource and normally reports to a supervisor.
What you would do
- Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment and machinery.
- Help prepare proposals and cost estimates.
- Review on-the-job safety tools and identify safety issues; ensure removal or mitigation prior to working.
- Execute work as planned and record technical history as required by the workgroup.
- Provide feedback on job pack improvements to the Execution FLS.
- Request permits and notify supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time.
