Mechanical Preparator Engineer
About this role
A Mechanical Preparator Engineer role based in Lagos, supporting upstream exploration and production as well as downstream operations. The position involves planning work scopes, coordinating materials, supervising modification works, and assisting with maintenance and fault analysis for oil and gas assets, on behalf of SPIE Oil & Gas Services and its COMPANY requirements.
What you would do
- Prepare scopes of work and ensure required materials and equipment are available for modifications, repairs or maintenance.
- Prepare scopes of work for approved work programmes and ensure procedures and safety rules are included and followed.
- Prepare with COMPANY review and validation calls for bid and manage contractor tender processes.
- Supervise modification works at site or as directed, ensuring COMPANY procedures are followed and modifications are properly documented.
- Assist in analysis of equipment malfunctions and recommend repairs and preventive actions.
- Assist in preparing preventive maintenance schedules and ensure planned work takes place and spare parts stock levels are adequate.
