What you would do
- Diagnose machine breakdowns and implement solutions to minimise downtime
- Inspect components and identify worn or faulty parts for repair or replacement
- Perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and repair extrusion blown film and bag-cutting machines
- Ensure proper use of maintenance tools, spare parts and workshop equipment
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues
- Follow factory safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Conduct regular machine inspections, servicing, lubrication and adjustments
- Support machine installation, setup and commissioning when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring faults

- Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience with extrusion blown film machines and bag-cutting machines
- OND, HND or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, servicing and breakdown troubleshooting
- Ability to work with production teams and meet operational deadlines
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety and equipment maintenance standards
- Experience in a flexible packaging, polythene or nylon factory is an advantage
