Mechanical Maintenance Officer

What you would do
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and repair extrusion blown film and bag-cutting machines
- Diagnose breakdowns and implement solutions to minimise downtime
- Inspect machine components and replace worn or faulty parts
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Carry out servicing, lubrication, and adjustments
- Support machine installation, setup, and commissioning as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring faults
- Collaborate with production teams to address equipment issues
- Ensure proper use of maintenance tools and workshop equipment and comply with safety standards

- OND, HND, or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or related field
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
- Practical experience with extrusion blown film machines and bag-cutting machines
- Previous experience in flexible packaging, polythene, or nylon manufacturing is advantageous
- Ability to diagnose faults, dismantle and assemble components, and perform repairs
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good teamwork and adherence to safety and maintenance standards
