Aldelano Organic Foods Ltd in Ogun seeks a Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Technician to service and repair generators, water pumps and other farm equipment. The role focuses on diagnosing and fixing faults in diesel generators (15kVA to 30kVA), gasoline-powered pumps, knapsack sprayers and related machinery. What you would do

• Maintain and repair diesel generators (15kVA, 20kVA, 30kVA) and troubleshoot engine and fuel system faults
• Service gasoline-powered water pumps and resolve issues affecting irrigation performance
• Maintain, service and repair knapsack sprayers and related components
• Inspect farm machinery regularly and respond to urgent equipment breakdowns
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records and servicing schedules
• Identify and recommend parts replacement when needed
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during maintenance work
• Minimise equipment downtime through preventive maintenance
• Provide updates on equipment conditions and spare-part needs
• Support overall equipment efficiency and lifespan through routine care

What they are asking for

• OND, HND, BEng or relevant technical certification in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in generator and small-engine repairs
• Proven ability to repair 15kVA, 20kVA and 30kVA diesel generators
• Strong experience servicing gasoline-powered surface water pumps
• Practical knowledge of motorised knapsack sprayer repairs
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults independently and provide lasting solutions
• Good knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, fuel systems and preventive maintenance
• Added advantage: ability to diagnose and service motorcycles and other agricultural machinery
• Some knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and generator control systems
• Previous experience in a commercial farm or industrial maintenance setting (preferred)
