Mechanical Engineer

About this role

AceRoyal Estates is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support building services and MEP construction on real estate development projects. The role involves designing and supervising plumbing, water supply, drainage and sewage systems, and overseeing HVAC, firefighting and sprinkler installations. The engineer will prepare BOQs, material take-offs and technical specs, and produce or review 2D/3D mechanical, plumbing and HVAC drawings. They will coordinate MEP works from installation to testing and handover, and conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety and compliance with drawings. The position is based in Lagos and is full-time.

What you would do

• Design and supervise plumbing, piping, water supply, drainage and sewage systems.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, material take-offs and technical specifications.
• Supervise HVAC, ventilation, firefighting and sprinkler installations.
• Prepare and review 2D/3D mechanical, plumbing and HVAC drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate MEP works from installation through testing and project handover.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety and compliance with approved drawings.

What they are asking for

• Professional membership such as NSE, NIMechE, COREN or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, drainage, HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• BSc, BTech or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Relevant site supervision experience.
• 3–5 years of direct Building Services / MEP construction experience.
