What you would do
- Develop and review materials selection reports, corrosion studies, and material specifications.
- Recommend suitable materials for piping, equipment, hull systems and offshore facilities.
- Assess corrosion mechanisms such as pitting, erosion-corrosion, galvanic corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
- Support the selection of protective coatings, cathodic protection and corrosion inhibitors.
- Review material compatibility, welding requirements and material traceability documentation.
- Develop or review corrosion management strategies and inspection requirements.
- Review vendor documents to ensure compliance with project materials specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, failure investigations and materials integrity assessments.

- Bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant materials and corrosion engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in offshore facilities, LNG/FLNG, FPSO, marine systems or process plants.
- Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, materials selection, coatings and cathodic protection.
- Familiarity with AMPP/NACE, API and ISO standards.
- Relevant corrosion or materials certifications are an advantage.
