Material Planner, DSR Numan
About this role
Material Planner role with the Dangote Group in Numan, Adamawa. You will ensure materials, components and other consumables are available in the right quantities at the right time and at optimal cost to meet production schedules. It is aimed at professionals with 5-7 years of material management experience in manufacturing and a relevant degree.
What you would do
- Ensure materials and consumables are available in the required quantities at the right time and lowest cost.
- Analyse material usage trends and forecast future material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform cycle counts and audits.
- Collaborate with procurement, production and logistics to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Manage MRP processes, review exception messages, and expedite or de-expedite purchase orders.
- Set safety stock levels and reorder points and maintain ABS classification for inventory.
What they are asking for
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Social Science or Engineering-related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years hands-on experience in material management in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Any relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
