A full-time Material Officer/Materials Engineer is sought by a technical services and engineering solutions company in Warri, Delta. The role involves managing material identification, take-offs, procurement support, tracking and control for onshore and offshore piping and structural steel fabrication and installation works. Responsibilities include preparing material take-offs, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction and QA/QC teams, monitoring material flow on site, reviewing drawings and specifications, verifying materials against standards, and maintaining material registers and tracking reports. What you would do

• Prepare accurate material take-offs for piping and structural steel works.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and QA/QC teams to ensure material availability.
• Monitor material receipt, storage, issuance and on-site utilisation.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine material types, quantities and requirements.
• Verify materials against approved specifications and project requirements.
• Maintain material registers, inventory records and tracking reports.

• BEng or BSc in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Good understanding of construction materials, piping and structural steel components.
• Ability to prepare accurate piping and structural steel MTOs per standards and project specs.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in onshore/offshore fabrication and installation of piping and structural steelwork.
• Strong material control, documentation, coordination and attention to detail skills.
