WAEP is seeking a Marine Technician to operate, monitor and support the maintenance of producing wells and their wellhead systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production, while maintaining well integrity and compliance with operating procedures. What you would do
- Carry out routine inspection, preventive maintenance and basic corrective maintenance on assigned marine equipment and systems.
- Support maintenance of winches, capstans, mooring equipment, pumps, hydraulic systems and other marine auxiliary equipment as applicable.
- Inspect equipment condition, identify defects and promptly report abnormalities or safety concerns.
- Assist with marine equipment testing, lubrication, adjustments and component replacement in accordance with approved procedures.
- Execute work under PTW, isolation, toolbox-talk and HSE requirements.
- Participate in emergency drills and marine response activities as assigned.
What they are asking for
- HND/Technical Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8-12 years' relevant marine technical or offshore maintenance experience, preferably in oil and gas operations.
- Relevant offshore safety, marine technical, STCW or trade certification is desirable.
