About this role
A Marine Superintendent / Assistant Designated Person Ashore (ADPA) role based in Port Harcourt, overseeing safe, compliant vessel operations and serving as the link between shore management and vessel crews. The position targets experienced marine professionals with strong leadership and regulatory knowledge.
What you would do
- Maintain and develop crew competency profiles and training plans
- Mentor deck cadets and support cadetship programmes
- Coordinate crew onboarding, assessments and succession planning
- Support SMS, ISM and ISPS implementation and crew safety procedures
- Coordinate vessel audits, drills, inspections and management reviews
- Provide operational supervision and support to vessel captains and ensure client requirements are met

- Master’s Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Minimum of 15 years onboard experience
- Strong knowledge of marine machinery, equipment and vessel facilities
- Good understanding of offshore and ship operations, risk management and emergency response
- Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours and travel offshore at short notice
