Marine Operations Manager

About this role

Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited in Lagos is recruiting a full-time Marine Operations Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the company’s vessels. The role is for an experienced maritime professional who will coordinate with masters, port captains, authorities, crew and service providers.

What you would do

• Oversee vessel safety, compliance, maintenance, certification and documentation.
• Coordinate with Masters, Port Captains, authorities, crew and service providers.
• Ensure timely supplies, spares, crew changes and vessel readiness.
• Monitor vessel performance, incidents, subcontractors and corrective actions.
• Support crew recruitment, training, audits and continuous operational improvement.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Studies or related field.
• At least five years' experience in marine/vessel operations, preferably in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, Flag State, Class and statutory requirements.
• Experience with vessel maintenance, audits, certification, crew management and marine safety.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to vessels and ports.
