What you would do
- Set performance targets and drive accountability across departments.
- Lead development and delivery of banking products and services.
- Monitor financial performance, liquidity, capital position, and KPIs.
- Develop strategies for loan recovery and management of non-performing loans.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the management team.
- Represent the institution in industry, regulatory, and stakeholder engagements.
- Oversee lending and credit operations and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Identify risks and opportunities, implementing mitigations.
- Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and applicable laws.
- Provide strategic direction and governance for the Microfinance Bank.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in banking, microfinance, financial services or similar, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of CBN regulatory requirements and the Nigerian financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development and team leadership.
- Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA or MBA are an added advantage.
- High integrity, professional conduct and governance awareness.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
