A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Calabar, Cross River is seeking an experienced Managing Director to oversee all functions, including manufacturing, operations, supply chain, finance and governance. The role reports to the Board of Directors and requires steering the business towards growth, profitability and market expansion in the South-South region. The MD will lead strategic direction, operational management, and stakeholder engagement with regulators and healthcare partners. What you would do
- Present performance reports and strategic guidance to the Board of Directors
- Oversee daily plant operations and pharmaceutical manufacturing efficiency
- Manage supply chain logistics and production sequencing
- Build relationships with local regulators, healthcare partners and community leaders
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans and commercial goals
- Lead budgeting, financial performance and risk management
- Ensure regulatory and corporate compliance with PCN, NAFDAC and related standards
- Mentor and align executive and technical teams to a high-performance culture
- Drive profitability and market expansion initiatives
- Govern corporate governance and strategic partnerships

- Experience in pharmaceutical plant operations and materials planning
- Experience navigating NAFDAC/PCN regulatory environments
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience
- At least 8 years in a senior executive role in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related scientific field
- MBA or advanced business degree is highly desirable
