Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer
About this role
The role is for the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of a microfinance bank, based in Port Harcourt. It targets experienced senior leaders with a strong background in banking, regulatory compliance, and strategic management who can drive growth, governance, and technology-enabled service delivery.
What you would do
- Drive the bank's strategic and operational objectives
- Translate Board strategy into annual plans, budgets and targets
- Monitor performance and take corrective actions
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, businesses and stakeholders
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management across credit, liquidity and operations
- Lead the executive management team and report to the Board
What they are asking for
- Minimum of 15 years' post-qualification experience in banking or financial services
- MBA, MSc or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- 5 years' experience in a senior management role within a bank or microfinance bank
- Professional certification such as CIBN, ACA, ACCA or CFA preferred
- Experience in digital banking or fintech strongly preferred
- Must satisfy CBN Approved Persons' Regime and fit-and-proper requirements
