About this role
The role is for a Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer at an LNG company in Abuja. It is a full-time, contract position. The holder will oversee cash-flow visibility, procurement compliance, fraud prevention, and reporting to the Board on gas forecast, costs, quality, HSE, permits and risks, while leading the execution team and owning the project plans, schedules and risk management. They will direct gas supply strategy, customer qualification, presales, and offtake agreements aligned with commissioning, and ensure readiness before introducing feed gas or hazardous fluids. The role also involves overseeing receipt and commissioning of plant equipment from China and maintaining relationships with regulators, authorities, host communities, and partners.
What you would do
- Ensure cash-flow visibility and procurement compliance with controls.
- Provide fraud-prevention measures and report to the Board on forecast and risks.
- Lead the lean execution team and establish clear accountabilities.
- Own the integrated project execution plan, master schedule, cost baseline, risk register, and stage-gate governance.
- Direct gas supply strategy, customer qualification, presales, and offtake agreements aligned with commissioning.
- Ensure readiness reviews and statutory approvals before introducing feed gas or hazardous fluids.
- Oversee receipt, inspection, preservation, installation and commissioning of equipment from China.
- Build and maintain relationships with regulators, authorities, host communities and strategic partners.

- 10+ years of progressive leadership in oil and gas, LNG, industrial construction or infrastructure with senior project delivery accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field (postgraduate degree or MBA an advantage).
- Strong commercial and financial acumen including gas supply and offtake contracting.
- Proven track record of leading projects through construction, commissioning and start-up.
- Experience engaging Nigerian regulators, government agencies and host communities.
- Uncompromising integrity and a safety-first leadership style.
