EY Lagos is hiring a Regulatory Manager for its Tax Practice. The role involves advising on regulatory and tax advisory engagements and identifying planning opportunities to help clients meet compliance, avoid penalties and minimise tax burdens, with opportunities for leadership and career progression.

What you would do

• Advise on regulatory and tax advisory engagements.
• Lead development of recommendations and implementation plans for complex issues.
• Draft tax alerts about changes to legislation and regulations.
• Coordinate training and capacity-building activities for the team on compliance and regulatory developments.
• Manage clients' regulatory compliance obligations.
• Identify, escalate and address clients' compliance risk events and root causes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Law with at least a second-class upper division.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience or equivalent in business or industry.
• Excellent managerial, organisational and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional services environment; mature, proactive, committed, highly motivated and driven team player.
• Experience in legal and regulatory research to assess the impact of changes in legislation and best practices.
• Ability to identify opportunities to contribute to client relationships and business development initiatives.
