About this role
Legal professional to lead and manage Qore’s contract review, drafting and advisory work. The role supports multiple business lines in Lagos, focused on commercial agreements, regulatory-adjacent matters and board-facing legal work in a fintech/tech environment.
What you would do
- Lead review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements (platform, technology, vendor, partnership, NDAs, data processing and other documents)
- Provide legal advisory support to business teams on commercial, product, operational and employment-adjacent issues
- Manage contract lifecycle from intake to renewal tracking and filing
- Escalate and manage legal risks across licences, regulatory engagement, market expansion and partnerships
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Compliance and Governance on cross-domain matters
- Brief and supervise external counsel and manage related costs
What they are asking for
- Nigerian-qualified lawyer with LLB and BL
- 6–8 years post-call experience
- Experience in a commercial law firm and in-house/regulated fintech or tech/financial services environment
- Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills for commercial contracts
- Understanding of Nigerian and African commercial and corporate law, data protection and technology contracting
- Experience managing multiple workstreams with SLA discipline and working with external counsel
