What you would do

• Operate washing machines, dryers, pressing machines and irons safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean laundry area and report faults or breakdowns.
• Count, record and distribute clean linen to housekeeping and other units.
• Wash bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, uniforms and other hotel linen according to procedures.
• Sort laundry by type and soil level before washing.
• Identify and treat stains using appropriate agents and techniques.
• Inspect finished items for cleanliness, dryness, stain absence and presentability.
• Handle guest laundry with care and ensure timely delivery where service is provided.
• Iron, fold and arrange clean laundry for distribution.
• Report damaged, missing or excessively worn linen to supervisor.
