Maintenance Technician
About this role
NutriK FZE in Kano is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure production equipment operates safely and reliably through preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and continuous improvement. The role focuses on maintaining equipment in line with safety regulations, company standards, and Lean manufacturing practices. It is suited to candidates with technical maintenance qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields.
What you would do
- Carry out daily preventive maintenance according to the approved schedule.
- Inspect production and utility equipment to detect wear, malfunction or potential failure.
- Perform corrective maintenance on work orders, diagnosing and repairing faults to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and update work orders in the maintenance system.
- Support Lean initiatives and contribute to reliability improvements to reduce waste and keep costs low.
- Monitor spare parts stock and notify supervisor of low or critical parts to prevent downtime.

- Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
- Proficiency in English.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance principles and basic mechanical and electrical safety standards.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and the ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and manuals; able to use maintenance tools correctly.
