Maintenance Supervisor - Utilities
About this role
A Maintenance Supervisor - Utilities is needed to oversee shift operations, maintenance and repair of all utility systems such as water, electrical, heating, cooling and effluent treatment. The role is supervisory and focuses on leading utilities operations, performing first line maintenance, diagnosing issues, and documenting activity. The position supports the production facility by ensuring utility systems run efficiently and reliably. The employer is Ultimum Limited, a beverage manufacturing company with presence in Nigeria and affiliation with Union Camerounaise de Brasseries, recruiting in Abia.
What you would do
- Oversee daily operations of all utility systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor and report utilities distribution and consumption.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all utility systems.
- Conduct and report inspections according to schedules.
- Supervise maintenance activities on utility assets and systems.
- Assign tasks and monitor team performance to maintain high standards.
- Coordinate operational and maintenance trainings for utilities personnel.
- Coordinate safety trainings and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain offline and online records of utilities usage, operations, maintenance and materials.
- Implement and sustain emergency preparedness plans for utilities.
What they are asking for
- NABTEB, WAEC Technical, or OND in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years in production and maintenance roles, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing safety standards related to utilities operations.
- Experience in collecting and reporting maintenance data.
- Experience in focused improvement maintenance (FIM) planning and execution.
- Strong understanding of utilities plant processes and preventive maintenance.
- Proficiency in SAP PM or other CMMS, and Microsoft Office.
- Competencies: data analysis and presentation, documentation and reporting in MS Office and SAP, leadership and team-building, planning and organising, collaboration and customer relations, utilities safety, reading engineering designs, autonomous maintenance, analytical thinking.
