Maintenance Supervisor - Automation and Electrical

Ultimum Limited is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Automation and Electrical in Abia. The role leads a team responsible for automation and electrical maintenance, coordinating personnel and resources to install, maintain and improve automation and electrical systems and assets. It involves planning maintenance, coordinating safety and training, tracking performance, and reporting to management. The position targets candidates with significant maintenance experience in manufacturing, especially food and beverage, and strong leadership and technical skills in electrical and automation systems.

What you would do

• Inspect and report maintenance activities as per schedules.
• Execute automation system maintenance and business continuity procedures.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure high standards.
• Lead on-time, in-full maintenance for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Respond promptly to machine and equipment failures and emergencies.
• Coordinate safety trainings and ensure compliance in automation activities and workshops.
• Plan and implement maintenance across power supply and distribution systems.
• Maintain offline and online records of maintenance activities and material usage.
• Prepare regular performance and status reports for management.
• Coordinate maintenance trainings for technicians and personnel.

What they are asking for

• NABTEB, WAEC Technical, or OND in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in production and maintenance roles, preferably in food and beverage.
• Experience with electrical systems, automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
• Proficiency in SAP PM or other CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance and focused improvement maintenance (FIM) planning and execution.
• Ability to explain technical processes to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and practices.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Ability to read design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
• Experience in collating and reporting maintenance data.
