Maintenance Officer

What you would do

• Report major faults, safety hazards and completed jobs to the Hotel Manager or General Supervisor
• Keep maintenance work areas clean, safe and orderly after repairs
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow hotel safety procedures and regulations
• Regularly inspect guest rooms, public areas, offices, kitchen facilities and other premises for faults
• Coordinate and monitor external technicians and contractors for specialised repairs
• Repair or report damaged doors, locks, beds, wardrobes, chairs, windows and other fittings
• Minimise unnecessary repair costs and waste of materials; suggest cost-effective solutions
• Check lighting, electrical fittings and conduct work only within competence and approval
• Assist with routine checks of pool equipment, outdoor lighting and related facilities where applicable
• Maintain records of faults, repairs, serviced equipment and outstanding requests
