Maintenance Officer

About this role

Emmix Global Limited in Abuja is looking for a Maintenance Officer to keep production machinery, workshop equipment, electrical systems and facilities safe, functional and well maintained. The role involves carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing faults quickly, and minimising downtime. The company provides consultancy services to owners of independent hotels, restaurants and bars.

What you would do

• Carry out routine inspection, servicing and maintenance of production machinery and workshop equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules and replace worn or faulty components.
• Maintain records of repairs, servicing, breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Carry out basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting where qualified; inspect electrical installations and lighting.
• Coordinate with external technicians or contractors for specialised repairs and assist with general facility maintenance.

• HND or Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing, furniture, woodworking or industrial environment.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems and experience maintaining production machinery and workshop equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings, machine manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities; strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
