Maintenance Engineer

About this role

NutriK FZE in Kano is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the Production Department. The role involves ensuring reliable, safe and efficient operation of plant machinery, equipment and utilities by carrying out preventive, corrective and improvement maintenance in line with company standards and safety regulations. What you would do

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance according to approved schedules.
• Monitor equipment condition and performance to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Install, commission and test new machinery and equipment.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and prepare reports on failures and downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environment rules and proper PPE usage during maintenance.

• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance principles and practices, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Ability to prepare maintenance reports and documentation.
