What you would do
- Manufacture, machine and repair mechanical spare parts according to specifications and drawings
- Operate machining tools and equipment to create accurate components
- Identify worn or damaged parts and fabricate replacements
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Support maintenance of utility machines and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Provide technical assistance to Production, Engineering, Warehouse and other departments
- Monitor equipment performance and identify reliability improvements to reduce downtime
- Monitor spare parts availability and coordinate with Warehouse for timely replenishment
- Maintain records of machining, fabrication, maintenance and repair activities
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime and maintenance tasks
