Role for a Machine Operator and Supervisor for concrete road works in Abuja with Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. The position involves operating and setting up WIRTGEN slipform pavers and coordinating the concrete crew, surveying team and site management to ensure quality, safety and timely site operations.

What you would do

• Operate and set up WIRTGEN slipform pavers using offset and inset methods
• Operate slipform pavers on models WIRTGEN SP 61(i), SP 62(i), SP 64(i) and TCM180
• Coordinate workflows and liaise with the concrete crew, surveying team and site management
• Monitor paving quality, machine performance and workplace safety
• Perform maintenance, servicing and fault checks
• Document performance, malfunctions and shift handoffs

• Technical training in construction equipment operation, road building or concrete work; or comparable practical qualifications
• Experience with heavy construction machinery
• Experience in concrete road construction, ideally with WIRTGEN slipform pavers
• Knowledge of machine controls, hydraulics and surveying
• Operator certification, driver’s licence and HSE training
• Willingness to work shifts at various construction sites outdoors; safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work in a team with a meticulous work ethic
