A Nigerian health‑tech company in Lagos is recruiting a full‑time Machine Learning Engineer. The role involves developing, deploying and optimising machine learning models to support AI‑driven healthcare solutions and digital health services. The engineer will work with software engineers, data scientists and healthcare teams to integrate models into existing platforms, while handling health data with attention to privacy, security and ethics. The position requires strong foundations in statistics, data preprocessing, model evaluation and ML algorithms, with experience in Python and major ML frameworks. What you would do
- Analyse and process large datasets to identify patterns and improve model performance.
- Design, develop, train and deploy machine learning models for healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists and healthcare teams to integrate AI models into platforms.
- Monitor, evaluate and optimise model performance for reliability and scalability.
- Ensure responsible handling of health data with attention to privacy, security and ethical AI practices.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of statistics, data preprocessing, model evaluation and ML algorithms.
