Stockgap Fuels Limited is expanding its LPG operations and is seeking a LPG Bottling Plant Operator to lead the Abuja plant as the head of the business unit. The role carries full operational, technical, commercial, administrative and personnel accountability to maximise profitability, efficiency and regulatory compliance. The position focuses on directing plant operations, ensuring correct cylinder filling by weight, overseeing LPG receipt and storage, and managing the plant’s budget, stock, dispatches and regulatory relations. It targets experienced professionals with strong plant leadership in downstream LPG or petroleum sectors. The employer operates in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector with a network spanning multiple regions.

What you would do

• Direct all plant manpower across Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, HSE, Quality, Stores and Security.
• Direct daily cylinder bottling and filling operations by weight to statutory limits and perform leak and pressure testing.
• Oversee bulk LPG receipt, ullage management and storage safety compliance.
• Manage the plant's P&L operating budget, stock reconciliation and dispatch operations.
• Coordinate third-party regulatory relations (NMDPRA, SON, Fire Service).

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND (2nd Class Upper/Upper Credit) in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant HSE Certifications (NEBOSH/OSHA), Project Management or MBA additions are advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years’ downstream LPG/petroleum experience, with at least 4 years in a plant management/leadership role.
