LPG Bottling Plant Operator

About this role

A role for the Head of the Abuja LPG bottling plant at Stockgap Fuels Limited. The position holds full operational, technical, commercial, administrative and personnel accountability to maximise profitability, efficiency and regulatory compliance for the Abuja plant. Responsibilities cover leading all plant teams, managing LPG receipt, storage and bottling operations, and overseeing budget, stock reconciliation, dispatch, and regulatory relations. The employer is involved in distributing refined petroleum products and LPG, with sourcing from international partners or via Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation partnerships. The role targets a senior candidate with extensive LPG/petroleum experience and plant leadership background.

What you would do

• Lead and direct all plant manpower across Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, HSE, Quality, Stores and Security units.
• Oversee bulk LPG receipt into storage tanks and manage ullage and storage safety compliance.
• Direct daily cylinder bottling and filling operations by weight within statutory limits of 85% fill, and ensure leak and pressure testing.
• Manage the plant's P&L operating budget, stock reconciliation, and dispatch operations.
• Oversee third-party regulatory relations (NMDPRA, SON, Fire Service).

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's Degree or HND (2nd Class Upper/Upper Credit) in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' downstream LPG/petroleum experience.
• At least 4 years in a plant management or leadership role.
• Relevant HSE (NEBOSH/OSHA), Project Management or MBA certifications are an added advantage.
