Logistics Truck Fleet Manager

About this role

This is a full‑time role for a proactive Logistics Truck Fleet Manager to oversee truck operations across Victoria Island and Epe in Lagos. The role involves ensuring the fleet runs efficiently, safely, and on schedule to meet delivery targets.

What you would do

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily truck movements and deliveries across Victoria Island and Epe routes.
• Ensure all trucks are roadworthy, serviced on time, and compliant with regulatory requirements (papers, insurance, permits).
• Supervise, train, and schedule drivers; track performance, conduct briefings, and enforce safety standards.
• Plan cost‑effective routes, monitor fuel consumption, and minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, maintenance, expenses, fuel and incidents.
• Liaise with dispatch, warehouse and clients to ensure on‑time pickups and deliveries.

What they are asking for

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a truck or fleet operation.
• OND, HND or BSc in Logistics, Transport Management or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Lagos routes, especially VI and Epe corridors.
• Familiarity with haulage regulations.
• Strong organisational, leadership and problem solving skills; proficient with Excel and fleet tracking tools.
• Resident in or willing to work between Victoria Island and Epe; a valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
