About this role
The Logistics Specialist Intern will assist the logistics team in carrying out operations to meet delivery dates, service levels and safety requirements. The role targets recent graduates within two years of graduation with a degree in logistics, supply chain, procurement or a related field, and is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers.
What you would do
- Support transport requests and monitor delivery dates to ensure on-time delivery
- Assist with equipment loadout planning per standard operating procedures
- Monitor shipment routings, pursue cargo consolidation and maximise backloads
- Review work orders, monitor shipment execution and track movements
- Identify opportunities for logistics network improvements
- Ensure compliance with international transport regulations
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration or related field
- Recent graduate not more than two years post-graduation
- NYSC completed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Nigerian logistics rules, regulations and processes
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; problem-solving and analytical thinking; SAP knowledge is a plus; resilient and adaptable
