What you would do
- Coordinate timely dispatch and delivery of finished goods to customers, distributors and designated locations
- Plan delivery schedules, routes and vehicle assignments for efficient distribution
- Monitor movement of company vehicles and adherence to delivery schedules
- Liaise with warehouse, sales, production and other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Prepare and maintain records of goods dispatched, delivery notes, waybills and other logistics documents
- Track deliveries and follow up with drivers to ensure on-time, safe arrival
- Monitor vehicle availability and report maintenance needs or operational issues
- Ensure proper documentation and accountability for all goods transported
- Monitor transportation costs and propose ways to improve efficiency and reduce expenses
- Investigate delays, shortages, damages and discrepancies and escalate when needed
What they are asking for
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration or related discipline
- 2–4 years of relevant work experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch or supply chain operations
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially plastics or FMCG, is an advantage
- Knowledge of transportation coordination, delivery scheduling and inventory movement documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer applications
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
- High integrity, accountability, attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
