What you would do
- Lead and develop a logistics team including warehouse staff, dispatchers and drivers
- Establish shift schedules, assign tasks and conduct performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with local road regulations, safety metrics and customs procedures
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, cost-to-serve and inventory variance
- Manage freight carriers, 3PL partners and vendors; negotiate rates and terms
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, sorting and inventory counts
- optimise storage space and maintain accurate stock data
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prevent bottlenecks and delays
- Deliver operational updates to executive leadership
- Support route optimisation and cost reduction initiatives
What they are asking for
- Minimum 1 to 5 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution or manufacturing operations
- At least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
- Strong proficiency with data tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical ability to evaluate budgets, invoices and transport costs
- Ability to handle pressure and solve supply chain disruptions
- Experience negotiating with carriers and vendors (preferred)
