Logistics Manager
About this role
Givanas Group is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee movement and distribution of materials and finished products across its operations. The role covers transportation and distribution, fleet operations, route planning, warehouse and inventory movement, coordination with third-party transporters and 3PLs, delivery performance, and management of logistics costs. The position is based in Lagos and targets candidates with substantial logistics experience in FMCG or manufacturing settings. What you would do
- Oversee transportation and distribution of materials and finished products.
- Manage fleet operations and route planning.
- Coordinate warehouse activities and inter-location transfers.
- Monitor delivery performance and logistics costs.
- Interface with third-party transporters and 3PL providers.
- Negotiate rates and monitor performance with transport providers.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance, licensing and insurance.
- Utilise ERP, GPS/fleet tracking and related systems.
- Provide reporting and analysis on logistics operations.
- Lead and develop a logistics team.
What they are asking for
- 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial logistics role.
- Strong understanding of logistics budgeting and cost optimisation.
- Experience in transportation, fleet operations and wide distribution.
- Experience managing transporters, contracted trucks and 3PL providers, including rate negotiation.
- Knowledge of route planning, vehicle utilisation, fuel management, maintenance, licensing and insurance.
- 5–8 years of relevant logistics experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or industrial settings.
- Experience coordinating warehouse activities, dispatch, inventory movement and inter-location transfers.
- Strong leadership, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- BSc/HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
- Experience with ERP, GPS/fleet tracking, inventory or logistics systems is an advantage.
