About this role
A full-time Logistics and Supply Chain Manager (Import and Export) role based in Apapa, Lagos, reporting to oversee and coordinate the company’s logistics and freight operations. The role leads Key Account Managers, the NAFDAC Regulatory Officer, and end-to-end import/export processes to meet client requirements, secure regulatory approvals, and ensure compliance with laws and SOPs. The employer provides shipping, freight and forwarding services and focuses on efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy and profitability. What you would do
- Coordinate documentation, shipping, clearing, haulage and related teams.
- Drive adoption of logistics technology and systems used by the company.
- Maintain accurate records, shipment tracking and management reporting.
- Manage end-to-end shipment activities from instruction to delivery and closure.
- Oversee import, export, freight forwarding and clearing operations for timely service.
- Monitor shipment progress, address bottlenecks and minimise delays and costs.
- Establish and monitor procedures, turnaround times, service standards and targets.
- Ensure accurate client billing inputs and timely handling of supporting documents.
- Monitor client satisfaction, account performance and retention; identify growth opportunities with Commercial team.
- Supervise Key Account Managers and review client plans and service performance.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience in customer relationship management, operational reporting, cost control and performance monitoring.
- Professional certifications in logistics, freight forwarding or international trade are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
- Knowledge of Nigerian customs procedures, international shipping docs and regulatory requirements including NAFDAC and SON.
- Experience supervising teams and coordinating multiple functions.
- Minimum seven years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import/export operations or supply chain management.
