About this role

What you would do
- Verify and reconcile shipping and customs documents with purchase orders and equipment registers.
- Prepare logistics plans for future LNG dispatch and customer delivery.
- Maintain procurement expediting logs and track long‑lead items, spares and tools.
- Coordinate with shipping agents, freight forwarders, customs brokers, port terminals and insurers to avoid demurrage and delays.
- Maintain a shipment‑by‑shipment tracker with vessel, port, documents, insurance, and customs status.
- Plan heavy‑haul movements from port to Ajaokuta, including route surveys, permits and escorts.
- Coordinate safe offloading, receiving checks, damage and shortage reporting, and secure storage.
- Monitor cargo movement and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support cost control and documentation accuracy for all logistics activities.
- Provide clear communication and timely reporting on logistics performance.

- 5+ years of import logistics and customs clearance experience in Nigeria, preferably with project cargo or heavy‑lift movements.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian customs procedures, Incoterms and shipping documentation.
- Experience managing freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport contractors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field.
- Attention to documentation, cost control and compliance, including anti‑bribery standards.
