Legal Officer (NYSC)

Rubric Legal Advisory in Lagos is hiring a Legal Officer (NYSC) for NYSC placement. The role is open to current NYSC corps members or those eligible for NYSC placement and involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, and supporting corporate and regulatory compliance.

What you would do

• Draft, review and vet contracts, agreements, letters and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions and summaries as required.
• Assist with corporate and regulatory compliance activities.
• Support the Legal & Compliance team with documentation, record-keeping and compliance tracking.
• Review company policies, procedures and internal documents.
• Monitor regulatory developments and identify applicable compliance requirements.

What they are asking for

• LL.B degree from a recognised university.
• Must be currently serving NYSC Corps Member or eligible for NYSC placement.
• Candidates who have completed Law School or are awaiting/eligible for Call to Bar may be considered, provided they are currently serving under NYSC.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian corporate and commercial law.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
