About this role
Skylight Towers Homes and Properties Limited in Ibadan, Oyo State, is seeking a full-time Legal Officer (Lawyer) to join its real estate focused team. The role involves handling land sale agreements, deeds, leases and other property-related documents, performing due diligence on land ownership and transactions, and advising management on legal and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will assist with disputes, contractual issues and client-related legal matters, liaise with government agencies and land registries, and ensure compliance with Nigerian laws. The position requires practising Nigerian lawyer eligibility, a law degree, and the ability to work both independently and with other departments. Prior experience in real estate or related areas is an advantage.”
What you would do
- Prepare, review and manage land sale agreements, deeds of assignment, leases and other property-related documents
- Conduct legal due diligence and verify land ownership and title documents
- Advise management on legal risks, regulatory compliance and real estate matters
- Handle property disputes, contractual issues and client-related legal matters
- Liaise with government agencies, land registries, surveyors and other professionals
- Ensure company property transactions comply with Nigerian laws
- Maintain records of contracts, legal documents and ongoing cases
- Represent the company in legal proceedings where authorised

- Qualified legal practitioner called to the Nigerian Bar
- Law degree (LL.B) and current eligibility to practise in Nigeria
- Experience in real estate, property law, conveyancing or commercial law is an advantage

- Ability to work independently and with management and other departments
