Legal Associate (Corporate & Commercial Law)

About this role

Resurgir Consulting is seeking a Legal Associate to support its corporate and commercial practice. The role is for lawyers called to the Nigerian Bar with 2-3 years post-call experience, who reside in Calabar, Cross River State. It focuses on transactional and advisory work in corporate and commercial law.

What you would do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions and advisory memoranda.
• Manage corporate filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission and other regulatory bodies.
• Assist with company secretarial, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
• Attend client meetings, prepare briefs, and take accurate minutes.
• Support due diligence exercises and transaction documentation.

• Called to the Nigerian Bar.
