Lead Support Services QA / QC

About this role

Lead QA/QC role responsible for directing quality assurance and quality control activities across assigned projects, facilities or work scopes in Lagos. It ensures work is performed in line with approved Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, procedures and standards, and provides quality support to engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, maintenance and commissioning teams. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, third-party inspectors and regulatory bodies and driving closure of non-conformances and related turnover documentation.

What you would do

• Lead and coordinate QA/QC activities across assigned projects, facilities or work scopes in line with Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures and standards.
• Provide quality support to engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, maintenance and commissioning teams.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements; conduct quality inspections, audits, surveillance and assessments.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and punch-list items, and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Review and approve quality documentation and inspection records; coordinate inspections with clients, contractors, third-party inspectors and regulatory bodies.
• Review quality dossiers and ensure proper compilation of project turnover documentation; monitor calibration and certification of inspection and testing equipment; participate in project quality meetings and prepare quality reports.

• BachelorA0s degree or HND in Engineering, Quality Management or related technical discipline.
• Significant QA/QC experience in oil & gas, EPC, construction, fabrication, refinery or petrochemical, or industrial sector.
• Relevant professional certifications such as ASQ, CQI/IRCA, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP, AWS, NDT certification, or equivalent (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001, ITPs, NCR management, audits, inspection and testing.
• Experience managing contractor and subcontractor quality performance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes and project quality requirements; strong leadership, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams and site environments.
