About this role
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited is recruiting for a Lead Reservoir Engineer to join the Subsurface team in Niger, with reporting lines to the AGM, Exploration & Development. The role focuses on developing and maturing field development plans for OML 30 to lift production towards 100 kbopd, and on championing reservoir management strategies to maximise asset value. The engineer will work with multidisciplinary teams to perform reservoir modelling, surveillance, and optimisation, and to contribute to reserves estimation and development planning. The position requires substantial experience in reservoir development, simulation modelling and related tooling, within the oil and gas industry. The employer operates OML 30 in a joint venture between NEPL and SNRL, and is part of Heritage Oil Limited.
What you would do
- Carry out reservoir simulation studies to evaluate performance and develop production enhancement strategies.
- Participate in updating reservoir Dynamic Models and forecast production with input from other disciplines.
- Engage in subsurface workflows and assurance processes to move opportunities from ID to execution.
- Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists and production engineers to optimise reservoir performance.
- Monitor reservoir production and its decline, tracking GOR and WOR to optimise exploitation plans.
- Contribute to reservoir surveillance and monitoring programmes to sustain production and recovery.
- Perform advanced reservoir modelling and integrate geological, petrophysical and production data.
- Identify and mature opportunities to increase reservoir recovery factors with other disciplines.
- Define and implement actions to improve well productivity.
- Participate in calculating reserves and supporting information for annual economic valuation of the asset.
What they are asking for
- Strong knowledge of IPM and Prosper (advantage).
- Working knowledge of PetrelRE, Eclipse (or tNavigator), Sapphire and Mbal.
