Lead Production Engineer

About this role

Lead Production Engineer role for an offshore oil and gas project, based in Lagos with field and offshore travel. The position targets an experienced professional to lead production engineering, operations and economics as the field moves from first oil through full development.

What you would do

• Deliver first oil via interim crude evacuation route including contracting, mobilisation and performance of contractors
• Lead production engineering and surface facilities inputs for the post-first-oil Field Development Plan
• Build and run the production engineering and operations function as the field scales
• Oversee the permanent export solution from concept select through FEED, execution and start-up
• Own production economics and the opex budget, and manage metering, allocation and crude custody transfer

What they are asking for

• 8+ years in production engineering or production operations offshore, including first-oil or early-production start-up
• Experience delivering an interim evacuation or early production scheme (EPF delivery, marine offtake, FPSO/FSO operations or similar) including mobilisation and operation
• Exposure to full field development: facilities definition, concept-select, FEED, and Field Development Plan inputs
• Contract and contractor performance management on mobilising or operating scopes
• Degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Willingness to undertake field and offshore trips and to work on-site in Lagos with a 4–6 week resumption period from offer
