Lead Production Engineer

About this role

A Lead Production Engineer is needed to oversee offshore production activities, from first oil to full field development, based in Lagos. The role focuses on delivering interim and permanent production solutions, managing production engineering, and owning budgets and metering-related responsibilities. It targets candidates with extensive offshore production experience and involvement in early production schemes.

What you would do

• Deliver first oil through interim export arrangements, including contracting, mobilisation and contractor performance
• Lead the permanent export solution from concept to start-up
• Provide production engineering and surface-facilities input for the Field Development Plan after first oil
• Build and run the production engineering and operations function as the field scales
• Own production economics and the opex budget, including metering, allocation and crude custody transfer
• Manage contract performance for mobilising and operating production schemes

What they are asking for

• Degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years in production engineering and/or production operations offshore, including first-oil or early-production start-up
• Experience delivering interim evacuation or early production schemes (EPF delivery, marine offtake, FPSO/FSO operations or similar) including mobilisation and operation
• Contract and contractor performance management on mobilising or operating scopes
• Exposure to full field development: facilities definition, concept-select, FEED, and production inputs into a Field Development Plan
