AMCE Abuja seeks a Lead Pathologist to head all diagnostic pathology services, supervise pathologists and laboratory staff, and ensure accurate and timely diagnoses. The role targets a senior pathologist with extensive experience in histopathology, cytopathology and molecular pathology.
What you would do
- Provide expert pathology services across histopathology, cytopathology and molecular pathology
- Ensure timely and accurate diagnostic reporting to support patient care
- Supervise pathologists and laboratory staff and mentor junior team members
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and quality controls, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Lead the development and adoption of new diagnostic protocols and technologies
- Collaborate with clinicians for multidisciplinary care planning

- Medical degree MBBS or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Board certification in Pathology and a valid medical licence to practise in Nigeria
- Minimum of 10 years' post fellowship experience in diagnostic pathology with substantial subspecialty exposure
- Expertise in histopathology, cytopathology and molecular pathology
- Proven knowledge of laboratory quality management systems and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in advanced diagnostic technologies and laboratory information systems
