Lead, Operations and Maintenance (Distribution)
About this role
NESCO (Nigeria) Limited is seeking a Lead for Operations and Maintenance focused on distribution to lead planning, coordination and delivery of power distribution services and maintenance of assets in Plateau State. The role involves developing work programmes, maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with procedures, and reporting to the Head of Distribution. It requires overseeing the distribution function, driving reliability and continuity of electricity supply, and ensuring safety and quality management within the department. Candidates should have relevant engineering qualifications and certifications, with several years of experience including supervisory roles, and knowledge of electricity rules and policies. What you would do
- Develop a department work programme to meet deliverables within set timescales
- Create maintenance programmes for the power distribution network
- Ensure activities comply with approved technical procedures to protect personnel and assets
- Develop strategies for Operations & Maintenance to ensure reliable electricity distribution
- Prepare periodic reports for the Head, Distribution
- Manage the technical network operations/distribution function and lead the team
- Oversee Quality Management System and Occupational Health & Safety activities in the department
- Monitor regional and international trends in power distribution for potential adoption
- Oversee project works, testing and commissioning related to distribution activities
- Develop policies, procedures and standards to guide technical field operations
What they are asking for
- BEng or HND in an Engineering field
- CO REN-accredited postgraduate diploma and a Masters in the same field
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Relevant professional certifications such as COREN
