Lead, Operations and Maintenance (Distribution)

What you would do

• Manage the technical network operations and distribution function to achieve high performance in cost-effective power distribution.
• Formulate strategies for operations and maintenance to meet reliability and continuity objectives.
• Develop maintenance programmes for the power distribution network.
• Develop policies, procedures and standards for technical field operations.
• Create a department work programme to ensure deliverables are met within established timescales.
• Ensure activities comply with approved system operation procedures to protect personnel, assets and reputation.
• Gather information on regional and international trends to identify adoptable practices.
• Accountable for project works, testing and commissioning related to distribution activities.
• Oversee compliance with Quality Management System and Occupational Health and Safety in the department.
• Prepare periodic reports for the Head, Distribution and perform other tasks as assigned.

• BEng or HND in an engineering field
• COREN-accredited PGD and a Masters in the same field
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., COREN)
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of electricity regulations and policies
• Experience in operations and maintenance management, substation planning and maintenance
