Lead Data Analyst / Statistician

About this role

AIDHealth Inc. seeks a Lead Data Analyst / Statistician to manage sampling design, data preparation, and analysis for baseline survey work, with emphasis on complex household surveys and longitudinal data. The role targets candidates with strong statistical expertise and the ability to work remotely to meet deadlines, preferably with experience in Northern Nigeria or Hausa-speaking contexts.

What you would do

• Finalise sampling frame, stratification, power calculations and minimum detectable effect with the partner at inception
• Prepare enumeration-area maps and household listing procedures for 160 enumeration areas
• Review baseline questionnaire on tablets for measurement quality and skip logic
• Create design and non-response weights for the baseline panel of 2,400 parents
• Construct and validate outcome indices and estimate intra-cluster correlations
• Produce tables and charts for the Baseline Report and draft the pre-analysis plan for public registration by June 2027

What they are asking for

• Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Epidemiology or related field; PhD preferred
• At least 7 years of professional experience analysing complex household survey data
• Experience designing multi-stage cluster samples and survey weights
• Expert use of Stata and/or R
• Preferred experience: panel or longitudinal surveys and causal-inference methods for observational data
• Survey work in Northern Nigeria or with Hausa-speaking populations
