What you would do
- Supervise daily laundry activities from sorting to distribution
- Ensure timely processing of guest laundry and hotel linen
- Establish work schedules and standard operating procedures
- Train staff on washing techniques, hygiene and safety
- Monitor quality of finished laundry and presentation
- Coordinate laundry services with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate responsibilities
- Inspect items for stains, damage and defects and apply stain removal techniques
- Maintain accurate records of linen movement and inventory
- Prepare reports on laundry operations and compliance
What they are asking for
- OND or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Textile Care or related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant laundry operations experience, preferably in hotel or large hospitality setup
- Professional training or certification in laundry operations, housekeeping or hospitality management (advantageous)
- Experience supervising laundry attendants and operational staff
- Knowledge of fabric care, washing techniques, ironing, garment handling and laundry chemicals
- Strong organisational, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage inventory, control costs and maintain records
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Willingness to work in a hotel environment, including weekends or extended hours when needed
